Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the website to work — for example, remembering your language and your cookie choices. These are always active and set no personal identifiers for marketing.
Anonymous audience measurement. On every page we count visits using Google Analytics in a cookie-free mode: no cookies are stored on your device and you are not identified or tracked between visits. This tells us only how many people read which pages, so we can improve the site.
Analytics cookies (optional). If you accept, Google Analytics may also store cookies on your device. These let us tell repeat visits apart and give us more accurate figures. They are never used for advertising, and nothing is stored until you accept. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
YouTube. Some pages embed videos from YouTube. If you accept, YouTube and Google may learn which page you visited and set their own cookies; if you are signed in to YouTube, this may be linked to your account. See Google’s privacy policy. Videos are not loaded until you accept.

The newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, the name and email address you give us are stored by Mailchimp in order to send you the newsletter.
